What are the best courses for someone looking to build their generative AI skills in 2025? We did the research for you, highlighting 20 courses that range from free to $25,000.
We focused predominantly on AI as applied to innovation and business strategy, as opposed to more technical courses. We also limited our research to known credible academic and industry training centers, spanning from academic brands like MIT and Harvard to respected corporate professional education from the likes of AWS, NVIDIA and Microsoft.
During the compilation process, we observed a few patterns.
First, there has clearly been an uptick in courses focused on driving business value; most of these programs came online in the past six months.
Secondly, most courses are short one-to-three week commitments and come with a professional certification at completion. Finally, prices range from free to $25,000, depending on length and depth of the training. As a general rule, more technical courses targeted to your development teams are far cheaper than the executive offerings.
As GenAI transitions out of the early adopter phase and into the early majority phase of the adoption lifecycle, business unit leaders and executive teams are the responsible (and accountable) parties implementing solutions, so AI training that includes data provenance, bias, ethics, IP concerns, industry-specific use cases, etc. makes a lot of sense.
By no means is this list exhaustive, and we’ll certainly see more of these business- and strategy-focused courses launched in the coming months, as generative AI adoption moves from early adopter into early majority.
