In today’s complex and rapidly changing business environment, building and sustaining senior leadership support is crucial to innovation team success – and, sometimes, survival.
In this webcast replay, Sandra Miller, Foundry 415 CEO, and Chris Cowart, Managing Director for the Nomura-SRI Innovation Center (NSIC), share their insights and advice on how to:
- Diagnose the source of your stakeholder engagement challenges
- Develop and execute a plan to overcome those challenges and to win support
- Use tools like Foundry 415’s Innovation GPS to change the stakeholder engagement game.
“To make your idea real, in the context of a corporation, you have to achieve alignment of the internal stakeholders,” Miller said. “That’s no matter if you’re looking at an M&A deal, doing a proof-of-concept or a pilot with a startup, even a license of some cool technology. Somehow you have to get alignment of internal stakeholders.”
Miller said Foundry 415’s Innovation GPS Tool is “a way to have one piece of paper, one slide, where you can capture the critical information about your innovation plan or project, and use it to have those [important] conversations, and get that feedback.”
In another slide, Miller shared a simplified view of the “internal journey of an innovation idea.” “In terms of alignment, there are different stages of that process,” she said.
