To coincide with the release of our Benchmarking Innovation Impact 2018 report, sponsored by KPMG LLP, we brought together a group of innovation professionals in Chicago to discuss some of the report’s findings. The event was hosted by the accelerator 1871 and Whirlpool.
The roundtable opened with a discussion of some of the data highlights from the report — including survey results about the stages of innovation maturity or progress, and a discussion about the right incentives to encourage participation in innovation efforts. Participants also broke up into three smaller groups to discuss best practices around ideation and exploration; creating a more supportive culture for innovation; and funding and scaling the most promising projects.Photos from the event are below; for information about the next roundtables in our Underground series, please see our event calendar.
